Some Planes, a Crow, and a Fire Truck

Originally, my intentions at the Calgary International Airport were to capture shots of a fully restored Avro Lancaster. Pitty I arrived just in time to whip out of the car and take some shots of the lovely craft through a horrid chain link fence. Oh well, at least I snagged a few other pics of which, for whatever reason as I can't quite put my finger on it, I really like the first one displayed below. 1. Heyy, nice blog man!
Has really tought me about photography, as im an amateur/beginner photographer. I've really learned the simple rules and tips, really interesting videos and easy to learn tutorials.

By the way, you happen to have the EFIXS of the plane and the airport shoots? Any tips and suggestions? Thanks a lot man!

  2. Hi Robert! Very glad to hear you enjoy my videos and blog! Thank you for the comment!

All the pics here were shot at ISO 200 and f/8, except for the fire truck which was f/5.6. Shutter speed wise and in order of the photos (top to bottom): 1/400, 1/1000, 1/2000, 1/1000, 1/800, 1/1000, and 1/320 (the crow shot).

If I could have done something different, it would be for the small prop plane shot. Overall I like it, except that the shutter speed was far too fast which froze the propellers; it looks like the engines aren't working. I should have used a slower shutter speed to blur the propellers, which would have added a little more motion to not only the props, but likely would have blurred the background a bit more too adding a sense of motion to the plane. But if you have any specific questions, feel free to ask and I'll try to get back to you on it.

    Thanks again!
